In the UK, and (I believe) the rest of Europe, if you have Xenons fitted, you
must also have 1) headlight washers, and 2) self leveling of the lights (to cope with heavy loads in the boot).
2) isn't easy to spot unless said copper recognises the manual beam adjustement knob on the dash, but
1) is a real giveaway.
