I'd like to have a few words with him.

I've never really understood big SUV's, I have respect and appreciation for serious off-roaders like the Landrover Defenders (superb at what they do) having driven a few and seeing what they can do.

Most of the other ones, especially the smaller ones like the RAV4 and various Japanese models baffle me. Other than an increase in height in terms of driving position (which I never saw any real benefit to either other than some perceived status).

The BMW X5 is no bigger on the inside than a 5 series saloon. People think they are buying huge spacious SUV's and are in reality not getting any extra room. Instead they have a large vehicle that is not as fun to drive, has less room, costs more, is more difficult to park and attracts discontent from other motorists.

Really is pointless. The standard of driving is also appalling, people simply do not have the required skill to manouver large vehicles properly and safely (not always the case!) and it's not surprise that these vehicle are often responsible for car park prangs followed by disappearance!

Ban them all!!!

(bikes too while you're at it!)

My rant over
