I have had my Civic 6 months now and a recent holiday over the pond with a hire car, (nothing fancy, a Hyundai Elantra) has really shown me just how appallingly deficient the bass drive is on the Civ.

What is the problem, is it the speakers or the drive unit itself? The speakers on the Elantra looked no bigger, yet the bass sound was superb.

Can anyone advise, is it a major dockyard job to fix, and what is the minimum I would have to do to really hear a difference?...
