I test drove a Golf GTI before buying my 'R' and it is just so boring. Fast - yes, fun - no. And whats with that 'retro' check cloth on the seats and the incredibly dull dash. Looks like it belongs to the era when moblie phones were the size of bricks
But i do like to be a teenager occasionally - just me in the car and the open road - bliss........ until you get to the next traffic jam.

Fully agree in your point of view on the Type-R!
It really is much more to it than just focusing on reving and speeding!
Oh yes, the v-tec engine is a masterpiece of an engine, that's for sure.
I read somewhere that much of the Type-R engine is hand made. Do you know if this is true?!
I hope you didn't misunderstood me abt the teenager thing R-2, I was just joking, wasn't attemting insinuating something. Just ignore that post!
However, it IS fun to be a teenager sometimes, we should do that more often.

Abt the Golf I fully agree too! It is sooo dull, boring and least but not last, far too common, too many VW's anyway, imo! No question, the Type-R is my absolute favourite choice of any cars in this class/price!
