In answer to Naresh's question - to which Topcat pointed him in the direction of this thread - the Britax Cosy Tot (I have the European equivalent called the Romer Baby Safe) is basically the seat that Honda rebrand as their own in the dealerships.

If your budget allows, I would recommend you buy it with the isofix base which really is a godsend. Easy to fit, adjust and take the baby in and out of. Believe me, not having to mess about with seatbelts is fantastic, as our little' un is only a month old!

The seat itself is excellent quality with extra cushioning around the head. It's also made in Germany, so it feels like a premium product.

I spent about two weeks looking at seats in conjunction with a travel system and the Britax just about swung it for me. The Maxi-Cosi range, however, is also very good (perhaps a bit more stylish, with a range of nice colours). And rates extremely well safetywise (see ADAC test below).

I also thought the Recaro Profi Plus and Concorde Ion seats were decent too. However, the Recaro has material that looks difficult to clean (could be wrong) and the Concorde travel system buggy was fiddly to use.

As a rough guide, I actually used ADAC's test reviews (in German) to help decide. Even if you're not fluent, it's easy to make sense of the reviews!
