I saw my first two yesterday at Bassetts Honda in Bridgend, Silver.
A lot better than I was expecting after some of the negative comments I have read. The interior is a step up in quality and I'd say above the new golf in quality and feel. I spent a while in a new Golf/Scirrocco/Audi while servicing my wife's beetle, both the Golf/Scirocco and Audi leave me cold inside.
I could easily see myself in one.
I liked the exterior too the angles looked great to me.
I liked the steering wheel.
Differences that I would have to get used to. The boot cill is higher, have two sheepdogs that will have to jump higher, cills would have to be protected by 3M copter tape.
On the silver model the rear 'spoiler' is colour coded red, that would be wrapped in black.
I couldnt afford the top of the range with the panoramic roof and starter button. So I will have to wait a year, after servicing my car and renovating a house, after that I'll be ready for one. For those who haven't been to see one, go you might be pleasantly surprised.
