If you go private be careful ( there are one or two dodgy folk around nowadays)
Having looking on Whatcar they reckon £10260ish and Parkers was just under the £10000
If you are changing manufacturer you will take a hit compared to Buying another Honda
I disagree with Hartside the Civic is holding it's value very well
whatcar say that a std1.8se civic will be worth 48% of it original value after 3 years so working on todays prices a new car no extras
is worth £ 14,927 and in three years it will be worth £7,165 ( although most dealers will sweeten the deal it is unlikely anyone would be offered such a low price unless it had done a high mileage and not been looked after)
Some BUT NOT ALL of the add on's will add some extra value to the car
i,e metallic paint, fog lights, leather, but others will not
which makes your valuation of £9500 not all that bad Andrea - just push them for a little more
A new car always falls hard in its first two years less in the third an so on
