I don`t know if some Type R`s are worse than others, but mine needs a bit of extra force (2nd to 3rd) one gear change in about twenty.

Just reached 1000 miles this afternoon, after about 500 miles the 3rd gear thing seemed to gradually go away,
Gear change is now so smooth
