I was hoping to change my car next year, and I am thinking about a Cupra or Type R. The only problem is after owning a Diesel ( all be it a Civic 2.2 sport) is that I cannot justify the cost of running a petrol hot hatch. I now regret getting rid of my old Type R. So unless you do the milage to justify it or you really like Hot hatches. Think long and hard about it. Because going back to a petrol car seems a ridiculous idea, however much you want too.
