I never noticed a increase in road noise going from non-run flats to run flats, but I did notice that the ride became a lot firmer and lots of folk do say that!

Although all 3 BM's in my household have run flats on them, all three have spare wheels in the boot for the fact that your only meant to use the run flats in the event of a puncture to get to the nearest garage. They are not designed to be used for long distances, so if you have a puncture at 10 o'clock at night you probably won't find a garage to fix your tyre and your kinda stuck! Also if the wall splits your not meant to drive on them either as you can cause further damage to the car!

I saw a bloke get a puncture on the A1 this morning in his BM and when he started to brake there was a lot of smoke and the smell of burning rubber from the front wheel, which couldn't be good.
