Accident Assistance

Had my Civic one month now, and a letter dropped through my door from my dealer containing membership for "Honda Accident Aftercare".
Wasn't expecting this and don't know anything about it.
It says that if I have an accident, they will recover my vehicle and repair in in conjunction with my insurance company.
Sounds good, but I believe I already have this facility through my existing insurer.

I did search and read a post on this forum where someone had pranged their beloved car, but their insurance wouldn't agree to have the car repaired by Honda. Insurers like to use their own chosen companies.

Anyone had any experience of using this service?

Also, I currently pay £20 extra on my insurance for "legal assistance", could it be that I don't need to pay this any more, as the Honda Accident Assistance claims also to deal with the recovery on uninsured losses?
I've felt for some time that the £20 is a bit of an insurance scam, but I pay it all the same.
