I also received the Honda Accident Membership Card some months ago. It is my understanding that you can insist which garage/company repairs your car in an accident but some insurers will insist that you go through their own repairers, citing that the work will be guaranteed. Where as if you get your car repaired elsewhere - they won't guarantee the job. My view is that if Honda provide this service, then their work and parts will be guaranteed in any event. I guess people will have to check the small print in their insurance.

My insurers insist that any repairs are arranged by them and I will get a courtesy car whilst the repairs are carried out - but If I chose someone else then I won't get a courtesy car. Personally I'd ditch the courtesy car (as I'm certain it won't be a civic)and use Honda Accident Assistance.
