Interestingly,my 2.2 Type S is more lively than my previous ES 2.2.Not by a country mile but it is noticeble, and was even on the ride home from the showroom with 3 miles on the clock.I would put this down presumably to the lighter kerbweight.

About the fuel economy, the ES would give approx 48mpg around town/a bit of open road, and 60 approx on the motorway. So far,the Type S is returning 40-43 mpg and has'nt really shifted from those figures. With less than 1000 miles on the clock,I know there's still plenty of time for improvement. If it should never change on that,I for one will not be too dissapointed, as Honda really have turned out a cracking car with this model
