About the fuel economy, the ES would give approx 48mpg around town/a bit of open road, and 60 approx on the motorway. So far,the Type S is returning 40-43 mpg and has'nt really shifted from those figures. With less than 1000 miles on the clock,I know there's still plenty of time for improvement. If it should never change on that,I for one will not be too dissapointed, as Honda really have turned out a cracking car with this model
I agree with that. I suppose it depends on your expectations of a car which will have an effect on your satisfaction. I have to say I’m well happy with my car. I did consider a new Focus before going back to Honda purely on a cost basis. A friend of mine got a great deal on a new 1.8 zetec climate. Having looked at the two cars on paper, the civic came out on top by a fair margin but the Civic cost roughly £2000 more. Still I chose the civic and am very glad I did. The two cars don’t really compare as far as I'm concerned. Not sure about the new replacement that’s just been launched but it looks nowhere near as good as the civic. My friend by the way is green with envy and is often heard mumbling that he wished he had got a civic too. Oh dear.
