There should be something that they can do......anyone on here that owned a BM mini (the first ever ones) can tell you that they had the same problem that was discovered about a year after the cars had been out. It arose because someone parked on a hill and the handbrake jumped off and the car caused loads of damage to other cars and BM held up their hands and said there was an issue.
They sent a letter to every owner advising of the issue, asking you to return your car to have a new handbrake fitted and also advising to leave your car in gear while parking on a slope of any kind. Must admit the handbrake felt pants after they changed it

Hmmm, yes......need to call him again this morning anyway to ask where my paperwork for that diamondbirght stuff they have stuck on my car is! Seen as I didn't ask for it, neither was I expecting it so I didn't notice I didn't have the paperwork. Grrrrr!
