Yep same here by Recorded Delivery too !!

Just for those that didnt this is the advice that was sent minus the waffle about how they care for their customers;


"Following evaluation, we have identified a potential concern regarding the operation of the handbrake fitted to your Honda Civic. If the handbrake is applied with the release button intentionally or unintentionally pressed there is a small risk that the handbrake may not latch sufficiently to hold the vehicle securely on a slope.

Please refer to your owner's manual and the instructions enclosed with this letter. When applying the handbrake pull the lever up fully without touching the release button. If these operating instructions are followed the handbrak'es effecicieny will be unaffected. It is important that other drivers of your Civic are also made aware of these instructions".

A new handbrake to be issued in 2008.
