TBH with you I think Honda are going to have a bit of a hard time! We were ALL taught to pull the handbreak with the button down and sending a letter to people telling them to do it the opposite way to every other car in the world is not a get out of jail free card. Just had a look on the interweb and found some driving instructors all saying the same thing

To apply the handbrake release the catch by pressing the button at the end of the handbrake. Pull it hard on, (up) then release the button. The catch will now lock the brake in the on position.

I have not had the problem and I think us i-shifters are less likely to suffer anyway, if we are too lazy to change gear when driving what makes you think we will pop into neutral when parking
