Received my recall letter this morning, recorded delivery to be signed for (however the postman just shoved it through the letterbox without getting a signature ).

I have always applied the handbrake without pressing the button, but after reading handbrake failure threads on here I have recently started pressing the button to avoid any wear on the ratchet. Now, after reading this letter, i'm confused. I always give the handbrake a little wiggle to make sure it is on properly and leave it in gear, and so far have had no issues.

When Honda fit this new improved handbrake they could potentially damage something else in the process. In my case, as I have not had any problems, the old saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it" comes to mind.
