I have received Honda's letter re the handbrake problem. I personally think that someone has been seriously injured as a result of yet another dodgy honda component. My handbrake has been performing faultlessly so far. The only compaint I have is that you have to pull it up quite high, which seems odd. Like alot of other people on this site I was taught to depress the button, and quite frankly alot people will not change a habit of a lifetime, myself included. I really do not relish the thought of a dealership taking my car apart again to put the new handbrake in place. The last time it went to Ruislip Honda for the Strut replacement they damaged the trim inside the engine bay and lost one of the screws holding the trim in place. This recall will only put the dealerships under more pressure with the result that more cars wil end up damaged.
