I have not as yet, experienced the same problems. You must be very unlucky to have a 'dodgy wiring loom'. I am keeping my fingers crossed - maybe it is a 'one off' but why you? These things should not happen - I have a fear that components are made in batches and if one individual component proves faulty, then the whole batch follows suit. I hope I am proved wrong.
You and I, I presume, have the same wiring loom in our cars.
That aside, Pottsy and another forum member have, very recently, posted a very helpful report on 'rejecting' a newish car. It's worth a look at.
