Foggy69, you're right to quote that.
Early twin clutch boxes had faults too. (Not today though, I believe)
The point is, however, that even working totally to spec and in the hands of an expert, a one-clutch box is always going to be a compromise, and will always be inferior to a two-clutch assembly.
In the same way that the Civic's torsion bar will almost always be inferior to multilink suspension.
Why did Honda do it?
