but a clutch being worn out at that milage is very ecessive even if you did ride the clutch pedal! i really cant see it wearing out so fast!
just a guess but could it be:-

the pressure plate is damaged in some way? resulting in a reduced pressure on the clutch plate allowing it to slip.

the automatic adjustment has failed on the clutch so it isnt self adjusting giving syptoms of clutch wear? (most clutches adjust themselves as they wear)

a possible fluid leak on to the clutch plate? not familiar with these engines and layout of fluid lines? (bit of a long shot but this happened on my dads old hiace van and it was a small oil leak dripping the odd bit of oil making the clutch slip)

but the only way to know is for somone to have a good look at it.


how much have they quoted for a new clutch? i had my clutch replaced on my prelude last june and that cost £850 from honda! i nearly cried when i handed over the money!
