Still on the gearbox and it's problems, the other day I decided to overtake the vehicle in front, a rather normal manoeuvre - I have done it before!

I floored the accelerator, Millie dropped into the right gear and we accelerated past the vehicle.

Halfway past this vehicle Millie's i-Shift decided to change up!

Leaving me with NO POWER while it worked out when it would apply the higher ratio, only seconds I admit, but that was quite scary anyway!

am surprised that you have not experienced this before, this is a regular occurance to me.I try to anticipate but sometimes still catches me out.I also find the i shift a nuicance when going up hills - putting your foot down for power only makes it slow down until it finds its own gear- by that time there is a quew of traffic behind you,but never the less I am still trying to get used to it!
