Dont worry too much about doing small mods lights tints etc as insurance companies do not increase your premium they just want to know about the mods. its only performance mods that are a pain with insurance. i have always modded my cars and never owned a used model in my life. i have purchased on pcp contract hire, hp etc and never had any problems. they do not affect your warranty as the manufacturer has to prove it was the mod that has caused the problems you may have. all they say is that the parts fitted by you are not under warranty. dont be afraid to make your car individual just make sure you dont ruin your pride and joy by fitting crap.
