I checked today to be sure, and I added 1,7 liter in about 7200 km. To me that souds like a lot. This is my first diesel, so I don't know what to expect. I know my brothers BMW's hardly use any.
Some people say that this is ok, because other (VAG) diesels are far worse. But to me that is not ok. I bought it second hand, and it had 35.000 km then. So it's not the "running in period" any more. Also, it's gonne be a costly operation, since it's 55 euro for 4 liters. And I don't like the thought that I always have to carry around a bottle in the back, just in case...

It's a magnificent engine, this 2.2 diesel, but this oil thing really bothers me.
