I don't know why, I think I'd prefer it towards the centre of the car, rather than to the side. I think I read somewhere that where you show it was the recommended place by a manufacturer (tomtom?). It is more out of the way there, you win! I wouldn't try that if you like driving with open windows round town, it wouldn't stay there long!

Is it me, or does it look like that device in the photo is floating in mid air?

EDIT, Thanks for the picture, Honda100. I think that is where mine will live, but I wont risk leaving mount in place when I'm parked! Mine is only the 300, no blutooth or anything, but it is great, much better than my old street pilot!
