I think the clip should be somewhere on floorpan since there isn't any bigger holes except one near front wheels and the floorpan itself has some pits so it's not flat....I saw that when my lighter cover went same way as your clip....
my suggestion is you trie to remove floorpan to see if clip is still there....chance is little but you may be get lucky!
