Now as some of you seem to know alot about private plates just say i buy a plate that is:

' N3 EXM ' is it "legal" to put it on my plate as ' N 3 E X M ' with the same spacing between each character, just asking so don't shoot please .
Well I'm about to buy "S29 AWS" - and get a plate printed as "S 29 AWS", but this will be legal size and legal standard lettering - If the police want to try and fine me £1,000 for putting the space in - I will honestly tell them to grow up there and then!

I think that's acceptable - they might frown upon it though... At the end of the day - you can read it still - maybe even clearer as it has the spaces! lol

I think the illegal actions are like these examples:
-Any font other than the standard and standard 3D version
-Turning characters round
-Making characters smaller
-Using the screw covers to join up characters and make other letters/numbers
