I had quite a few Citroens with alloy wheels and none of them showed any signs of corrosion, even after 4 years. The Lex started in about 2.
The second downside to this is that you don't get new wheels as a replacement but refurbished ones that just don't have the same finish. Heavy laquer yes, but just not the same.
The one thing I have noticed is that there is a marking on the wheels that is identical to the one on the Lexus wheels, wonder if Honda and Lexus use the same wheel supplier ?

Mazda also suffer from poor quality wheels. I had the alloys on my 3 replaced twice in 3 years, and they had started to go again just before I traded it. I had also noticed it happening on various Mazda 6's & RX-8's in my works car park.
Would have had the wheels replaced more than twice had Mazda not dragged their heels and claimed that the wheels were on back order, only for them to miraculously appear when Mazda UK got involved.
Car before the Mazda was a Ford Puma - wheels were still in pristine condition after 4 years.
