I got my ebay key cut today in basingstoke for £5. So try all the places you can find, there are those that can help.
After getting it cut I tested the new key and it turns the barrel fine. If I hold the proper key against it whilst turning the ignition it starts the car fine too. So I guess tomorrow its time to break out the tools.
