Good idea Andrea taking a print out of the thread, It might be worth dropping spacecadet and Mc_fly7 a PM though and get some more details, like who their dealers are and contact numbers of the service departments, what was said to them by the dealers at the time and who they dealt with at their dealers. It means you will have people at dealerships that can be contacted for information, by your dealer for help with submitting the warranty claim.
And it will give you more credibility.
