I must admit that as a petrol driver, I wish I'd gone for the derv.
I had the choice of a new 1.8SE or a low mileage diesel and I went for new.
I'd just had a terrible experience with an under performing diesel (not Honda) which ended in timing belt failure, a new engine and still pish performance and decided to go back to the more reliable (touch wood)
vtec. Since being on this website I have since discovered how tuneable the 2.2 is and will probably chop back to a low mileage diesel when I have to change.
Although at 7p a litre difference between petrol & diesel, I doubt I'll save anything on fuel economy, but at least I can give myself almost Type R perfomance (probably by the time I get round to changing the
CTR Diesel will have been released by Honda anyway.)
