Yorks/ Lancs Meet and Rally -Saturday 15th March 2008
Meeting Point- Turnpike Inn, Oldham Road, 10.30 a.m
Rally starts @ 11.00 a.m (Route and Lunch details below)
Meeting Directions:
THE TURNPIKE INN - PUB - Junction 22 M62 Motorway
Followed by 'Rally Over't moors for lunch near Holmfirth (See below)

Revised route details for the rally after the initial meeting point @ The Turnpike Inn from 10.00 am for 10.30 am

Here are Veritas' proposals for a revised outward loop of our route avoiding some potential trouble spots.

"From the Saddleworth villages, we take the A635 over Saddleworth Moor to Holmfirth. Out of Holmfirth via the B6106 branching off toward Hade Edge and Dunford bridge, thence to join the A628.
Along the A628 for several miles to Tintwistle. In Tintwistle we take a left onto minor roads to rejoin our original route just before the good bits of the B6105. Then we continue on to Holme Moss, Ford Inn, etc.
This revised route is much more moorland in nature, the only really busy points could be in Saddleworth and Holmfirth, and then not much i hope.
It took me just over an hour and a half to complete the whole route, driving briskly but observing speed limits in urban areas. All times are without photo stops."
This equates to 11.00 am start from The Turnpike Pub.
So please try not to be late.
I suspect most people will arrive at the pub for 10.00 am
