It's nothing personal in my correspondence course with you. I just wish Honda had beefed up the quality feel of the Civic, because as I have said already, it's a great and original concept of a car with nothing out there as advanced in design. You must admit, it needs sound insulation, the cheap plastic dash would scratch if a fly landed on it, the black upholstery and door armrest in mine had faded since last May, etc, etc. It just ain't sturdy enough to last more than a very few years. Do you know the whole back door hatch is plastic except for the heated rear window section.
I wish you well in yours and I know every make has it's faults, but if it rattles and shakes when new, it has been badly screwed together.
There is talk of a Mk2 in the pipeline - I bet they beef it up
and fit a rear wiper. Until it is tested and tried, I will stay with the Germanic build of the Jetta and smile when I hear a Civic rattling by. Happy motoring Jazzman!
