My Civic has been fine though I have only had it three weeks. I think you will enjoy life more if you accept you are happy with your car and others are happy with theirs. Regards other peoples opinions so what. The US love the Jetta, is that a positive or negative?

You may want to update Wiki.com as it makes no mention of the Jetta being made in Germany. It suggests they are made in Mexico and shipped out in kit form to various plants around the world (but not Germany).
Greetings GJackson,
I should let you into a secret, but it's only between you and I - don't tell anyone!
There are some Civic owners on this site who take life and their Civics very seriously and having placed my tongue very firmly in my cheek, I have been 'Over Egging The Pudding' to bring out the Basil Fawlty side most of us suppress. I am aware that the Jetta is built in Mexico to feed the American love affair with this particular model. The Mexicans dance on their hats and far be it for me to suggest the Civic fanatics dance on their rose tinted visual aids, but I will now let their collective blood pressure drop below danger level.
I have nothing but praise for their unswerving loyalty, even in the face of some of the undeniable weaknesses in the Civic - It will be a good car when it's finished - Oops, they will all be reaching for their blood pressure tablets yet again - I really must remove my tongue from my cheek!
Enjoy your Civics - it is a slick looking machine and is fun to drive and I wish you all happy motoring, even when sitting in the garage waiting rooms reading the car magazines telling you about the car you should have bought - there I go again!

Eddie the Jett.
