OK, its only a 1.4i, but my 17 year old daughter with 8 months licence is only paying £1300 for her new civic SE+, and when it comes up for renewal in a couple of months they told her she will get 30% no claims and it will be a bit cheaper as she will then be 18 (in a couple of weeks). That's entirely in her name. No named drivers or anything.

That's from Tesco Value insurance - who in her/our experience are very good. Someone ran in to her last car, and they gave A+ service sorting it out and getting her excess back and everything. Recommended.
My son has a Type R and he is the main Driver on the policy, I am a named driver and it brought his premium down by £317 and means that I can drive his car if need be and I am fully covered, if I drove it on my insurance I would only be covered third party
