Hey All,

I'm gonna upset you all Nah I'm only teasing ya.

Basically at the moment I am doing my homework, checking out what new cars are available as I fancy a change from my current car. Ok, it's a Peugeot 307 XSI (petrol) that I drive now and before you say it, no I think it's a great car and is infact my 3rd Pug. Ok it's build quality isn't probably as good as some but then again neither was the Civic to start with from the sound of things.

Due to work and the need to drive places I am looking into high power diesels, 2 of which are the Civic being one and the Auris SR180 being the other.

Now I will say that in reality both cars mentioned here seem to have their problems/issues, the Civic perhaps more so due to it being out slightly longer compared to the Auris. More will surface as owners get used to the cars I am sure and so it's hard to call one inferior over the other.

Now I am sure this will start a debate as to which car is the best, wait till you test drive them etc. etc. and indeed once I do actually sit in either car things will become clearer but for now their pretty equal.

Having said that the Auris does have one up on the Civic in the power & torque department. With 180bhp & 400Nm of torque you cant deny it's good, but you pay for this in insurance costs over the Civic.

Now I haven't set out to start a riot, but I thought it would be fun to join in as this topic as it has some witty comments in it.
