I had read somewhere that Toyota was to launch Auris about the same time with the Civic. However, they postponed it for some retouches on appearance after seeing Civic being a visual hit.

You are right on this one Korkut Varol. Ι 've read the same but i can't remember where...
I must say though that although they delayed the Auris launch in order to make changes on the appearance the result is worst than our civic. I dont want to know how the original design was....
