IMO in a urban environment is where Hybrid technology works. Electric is far more efficient in stop start then combustion. Even if the engine does start to charge the batteries it does it efficiently and the regenerative brakes increase that.
From Oct the London Con Charge (no I have not shortened the word congestion

) is purely based on emissions, so Lexus owners will have to pay, they must be gutted

. But on the plus side, if they were standard petrols, they would be paying £25 a day.
Civic Hybrid, Prius (although not Prius mk1) and Toyota Aygo owners (the other half's car) can cross our beautiful capital city for free!!
