When I bought my previous car (03 plate Civic Type S), I was also contemplating a Corolla. Toyota had just launched the Auris. While visiting the dealer I walked past an Auris & only noticed it wasn't a Corolla when I approached it & noticed the huge day-glow orange sticker along the side proclaiming "THE NEW AURIS". You certainly couldn't mistake the spaceship for anything else. When I eventually found a Corolla on the forecourt,I sat in it & was put off straight away. The dashboard reminded me of some sort of Fisher Price toddlers play centre. Also, due to the fact that it was raining, the salemen stayed inside watching me through the window.
Just my thoughts on the Honda/Toyota debate.
