Is that comparison based on Shell's Premium 'V-Power' Diesel vs their regular petrol, or is it like for like?
When I filled up a few weeks ago, V-Power Diesel was around 6p/l more than the regular diesel, with regular diesel being around 4p/l more than regular petrol.
There was a time last year (late summer/Autumn-ish IIRC) when at a few local garages, regular diesel was 3-4p/l cheaper than regular petrol. I only noticed this at Esso garages, and sadly, it didn't stay that way for very long!
