I've had both (petrol).
The Accord is more comfortable but the Civic is easier to park in my garage. The Civic is more versatile with it's load space but the Accord is quieter and smoother (especially the auto box).
Must say though, I do like the look of the new Accord; but it can't possibly have such a friendly and interesting forum as the Civic.
