As it is a company car, depreciation is not a concern. I haven't looked, but I assume the diesel Jag's fuel economy isn't too bad.

Please can you comment on other comparisons between the two.
OK obviously the cost of a Jag means you get a car that feels very solid and luxurious the seats are quite good in the leather but honestly I find the Civic's comfier (cant believe I just said that) the wood dash looked great but I don't miss it the green dash illumination is a little old fashioned (the new XF has the right idea its like a BIG Civic regarding blue lights) economy on diesel I cant comment on as mine was petrol but I was only getting about 19 to 20 per gallon
Boot size is OK but not as practical as the Civic and the drive is good but not nearly as much fun. Stereo quality was better by some margin but I can sort that out, parts were quite cheap compared to my previous car an Audi A6, will I need any for this car? If you have your heart set on a Jag the experience of owning one is great but there are lots of jealous people out there who dislike you for owning one. I got it out of my system and am now regressing back to my youth (gotta love the mid life crisis). Which is best? Totally different animals, I enjoy driving, the government are taking the fun out of it - I say time to enjoy driving again everyone needs a Civic!
