The MX5 was so boring and under powered compared to the MR2 roadster,
i kept the MR2 for 3 years, it was almost as much fun to drive as the Type R 
Then just over 3 years ago i test drove one again when buying my RX8, it was still as depressing to drive as i remembered,

They never did a 1.8 Turbo VX220, it was the 2.0 unit out of the Astra GSI. Nice car but lethal in the wet when pushing on. I find it hard to believe you have driven an MX5 if you call it depressing, are you sure you weren't in the Mazda 5 people carrier.
