I've got little rubber left on the fronts after 13,000 miles - maybe get 15,000 out of them, which I find a bit disappointing. Guess I'll just have to bite the bullet and change them. Haven't measured the rears, but they look like new.
On the subject of front/rear fitting for the new tyres, Costco will ONLY fit new tyres to the rear (or all 4, of course) - the theory being that new fronts will grip too much and the worn rears will let go earlier and cause oversteer. When I disputed this, the fitter dug out a 'feeshul Michelin video which attempted to show the effect.
Can't say that I'm over-convinced that it would be a problem and suspect that it's just Michelin covering their corporate a*ses in case a wee granny spins out on a wet roundabout with new tyres on the front and old on the back!
Being a bit of a thrawn bugger, I moved the new tyres to the front when I got home.
