I did a 460 mile round trip and caned it i.e. keeping it in the 5500 rpm+ range. Result £110 in fuel. Not good as my Golf 2.0tdi would do the same trip using around £45 of diesel!

I recently did the same journey in the CTR and took it easy. i.e. kept the revs in the sub 4500 rev range and spent £65 in fuel.

The car is like hot and cold. Keep it in the VTEC rev range and boy will it punish you!
