Yeah I understand what you mean about sidefall, that's expected. This water was coming out of the interior boot panel and falling straight down ino the boot compartment. When the boot was fully open, the angle allowed for it to go onto the back seats as well. This was after I had washed to car, so I assume that there was a lot of water collected (rather than just rainfall).
I'm going back to the dealer soon to get some mats fitted, so I will ask them about it then.
