My dealer is unable to get hold of a new speaker for the parking sensors and I have escalated to Honda car customer relations. Is it possible a whole batch of new Civics are out there all trying to get a working speaker - hence the unavailability.
It seems all spares come from Belgium which seems strange if the cars are made in Swindon.

The parking sensors have a seperate speaker inside the car as its to let you know the car is in reverse/approaching and obstacle, not anyone else. As to if there are a batch of cars without working systems, it is possible but i doubt it.
The alarm for the car is actually the horn unit, a totally separate system. in the event of it being set off, it just sounds the horn.
