This is not acceptable on modern cars. I've had my Type-S for about 8 weeks now and have small traces of rust on my drivers door.
"If" a zinc coating has been applied the panels won't rust at all, painted or not. This suggests that some parts of the door has not been coated at all as, I believe, the zinc does not have to coat the entire panel to protect against corrsion.
Is it worth getting the BBC's Watchdog program involved as they seem to ressolve issues when other manufacturers refuse to rectify known problems such as the faulty bonnet catch concern on Renault Clios?
