I've just agreed finance to buy a Civic Type R GT and just need to get my insurance sorted. I'm 21 and aware that it's gonna be costly. Best quote i've managed so far is from elephant.co.uk for £1800 for 10 months, which is ok but I don't want to be paying extra unnecessarily. I have 0 NCB as I have been driving as a named driver for the past 3 years. Anyone in a similar situation to me or can anyone recommend any insurers? Am I better getting quotes over the phone as this isn't really an average case? Is it worth approaching the 'Specialist' companies such as Adrian Flux who specialize in unusual insurance cases and insurance for performance cars?
